We decided to address the proverbial elephant in the room and talk about the GLP1 drugs that are out and about and plentiful. Well, I shouldn’t say plentiful anymore because they’re becoming very difficult to get.
Insurance is pulling back hard on covering them. The supply is next to impossible to find in certain cases.
And what what’s really sad, is that the folks who really need these drugs, the diabetics that they were created for in the first place, in many cases, can’t get them.
And I don’t know what to say about this.
Some of the folks that want to use them to see the scale go down don’t care because we all can be so central focused on our own desires in life that, again, folks who need these drugs to stay healthy and alive, can’t get them because folks that don’t necessarily need them are using them. Now, again, superseded by that is they are becoming very difficult to come by in certain cases.
Some doctors, Beth was just telling me recently that someone she knows very personally, was told, sorry. Can’t get it. Just can’t get it. So you can’t have it. And superseded by that is the cost factor.
There have been individual clinics who have been selling GLP ones for some time, and they’re cash basis business, so no insurance was even considered.
And those clinics were selling when, the weight loss drugs were new for about twelve hundred dollars a month. Twelve hundred dollars a month people were spending to get the results. And, the drug be started becoming plentiful so that those prices had to drop a bit, but people were still paying five hundred dollars a month to get the drug. Then insurance kinda kicked in, then insurance backed off. So we’re back up to four, five, six, seven hundred dollars a month for the drug. So today, we’re going to talk about the GLP one pace, the pace of loss, the pace of health benefits, the pace of life effect.
